Most small businesses don’t need an IT department. They need one number to ring, someone who already knows how their systems are put together, and a plan that doesn’t involve replacing everything at once.
We’ve been doing that for businesses across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs since 1995. We’re local, we come on site, and we plan around your budget rather than a catalogue.
What we look after
- Servers and storage — specification, supply, installation and ongoing maintenance, whether that’s on site, in the cloud, or a mix of both.
- Networks — wired and wireless, switches, routers, firewalls and structured cabling. Slow, unreliable Wi-Fi is usually a design problem, not a hardware problem.
- Workstations and laptops — supplied, configured to a standard build, and maintained so a replacement doesn’t mean a day of lost work.
- Email and file sharing — Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint and Teams, set up so people can actually find things.
- Backup and disaster recovery — the part that gets skipped until the day it matters. We test restores, not just backups.
- Security — endpoint protection, firewalls, mail filtering and multi-factor authentication.
- Licensing — what you actually need, not what generates the biggest invoice.
The IT health check
If you’re not sure where you stand, start here. We walk through your systems, compare them against what similar businesses run, and hand back a prioritised plan — what’s urgent, what can wait, and what each item costs.
We look at:
- Critical faults and single points of failure — the things that stop the business if they die
- Backup, restore and disaster recovery, tested rather than assumed
- Anti-virus, mail filtering, multi-factor authentication and patch status
- End-of-life equipment and a staged replacement plan you can budget for
- IT spend measured against industry benchmarks
- Cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Access, passwords and staff policies — including what happens when someone leaves
You’re under no obligation to buy anything from us. If the report tells you your current arrangement is fine, that’s a perfectly good outcome.
How we work
We come to you. On-site visits across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, plus remote support for anything that doesn’t need hands on it.
We plan in stages. Very few businesses can replace everything in one year. A three-year plan that spreads the cost is more useful than a proposal you’ll never approve.
We explain the reasoning. You’ll understand why something is being recommended, what happens if you don’t do it, and what it costs to wait.
We’re still here next year. Thirty years at the same address. Whoever sets your systems up will still be around when they need changing.
Who we work with
Small and medium businesses across Melbourne’s east — professional practices, trades, retailers, not-for-profits and family businesses. Typically between two and fifty staff, with or without a server, with or without someone in-house who’s “good with computers”.
