Before you buy a replacement
Plenty of the machines that come to us from Ringwood are written off before anyone has looked at them properly. An SSD and a memory upgrade will often make it faster than it was new, for a small fraction of the cost of replacing it.

What it costs
The workshop inspection is free on standard drop-in repairs. We find out what is actually wrong, then ring you with a fixed price. Nothing goes ahead until you approve it, and the quoted price is the price on the invoice.
If a job needs a paid assessment — some data recovery and liquid damage work does — we tell you before we start, not afterwards.

Do I need to book?
No. Drop in during opening hours and leave it with us. There is a counter, a person behind it, and a workshop behind them.
Is it worth the drive from Ringwood?
Most people decide it is, because the machine is looked at by the person who will repair it and nothing gets shipped away. Ring first if you are unsure — we can often tell you over the phone whether it is worth bringing in.
How long will a repair take?
We usually diagnose the same day and ring you with a quote. Common jobs — drives, memory, screens, virus clean-ups — are often finished within a day or two once approved. Ordered parts take longer, and we tell you up front.
Will I lose my files?
Not if we can help it. We back up what we can before starting, and we tell you before doing anything that puts your data at risk. If the drive has already failed, bring it in before running recovery software yourself — that often makes things worse.
